New Feature Update | Timers & Alarms
What’s better than listening to a little music while trying out a new recipe or preparing for friends to stop by your summer barbecue? Having Cone help out in the process, whether it’s chiming in between songs to remind you that folks are on their way or that it’s time to grab those freshly baked cookies out of the oven.
Today we’re excited to announce our newest features on Cone: Timers + Alarms. Keep yourself on track by telling Cone to set the timer for one minute, 20 minutes, or however long you’d like, or ask for an alarm at a specific time. It’s our latest step in making your experience with Cone the best possible for our community – and we’re always looking forward to hearing what you think.
Give these features a try using the tips below, and let us know how it goes.
Try Out the Timer
When setting the timer, make your request using the hour, minute, second format, i.e. “Set a/the timer/time for one hour, 12 minutes, 32 seconds.” Cone will alert you with a pleasant sound when the timer is done. To stop the timer, press the center button.
To request the status of a timer, you can use the following commands:
- “Get the timer/time”
- “When is the timer/time set for/due?”
- “Timer/time remaining”
And to cancel the timer, you can use the following commands:
- “Disable the timer/time”
- “Delete the timer/time”
- “Cancel the timer/time”
